What are the MSPB deadlines?
As of January 2010, the time limit for filing an appeal from a discharge, a demotion, or a suspension of more than 14 days was: "no later than 30 days after the effective date, if any, of the action being appealed, or 30 days after the date of the appellant's receipt of the agency's decision, whichever is later." 5 C.F.R. 1201.22.
HOWEVER, the MSPB has the power to change this deadline at any time. It is essential, therefore, that you consult the regulation yourself, rather than rely on the quotation above.

As soon as an appeal is received by the MSPB, it is assigned to an administrative judge, who immediately sends an "Acknowledgment Order." The order sets important deadlines for submitting additional information and for initiating discovery. You must carefully note those deadlines and meet them.
Note that the MSPB typically schedules hearings between 65 and 70 days from the date the appeal was filed.
What are the deadlines in EEO cases?

The EEO counselor will provide you a written report. You must file your formal EEO complaint within 15 days of receiving that report. 29 C.F.R. | 1614.106.
HOWEVER, the EEOC has the power to change these deadlines at any time. It is essential, therefore, that you consult the regulation yourself.
